Sexual Health After Cancer
Sexual health after a cancer diagnosis:
One of the many challenges survivors of gynaecological cancers face is deterioration of their sexual health, both in the short and long term, as the effects of physical, psychological and social functioning can interfere with normal sexual function, body image and sexuality.
Some of the consequences of treatment can include a change in your anatomy, premature menopause, pain, depression, anxiety, fatigue and relationship disturbances as a consequence of treatment.
Dr Goulding is passionate about supporting and assisting her patients with their sexual health throughout their treatment and survivorship. Through her multidisciplinary team empowering and treating her patients to best minimise the psychological and sexual toxicity from their treatments underpins the holistic care that she provides.
Please see below some resources and information regarding the sexual health of patients following treatment for a gynaecological malignancy.
